Version 6.0 (October 12th 2022)
Here’s what’s new & improved in the latest 6.0 release:
- Our latest task module is now available in beta. You can now add tasks to employee shifts and visually manage the workflow from start to finish. Heads up: This feature needs to be activated by an administrator.
- Our punch console got a facelift! The visual interface now provides a better employee and/or user experience.
- Save time on onboarding: Newly added employees will now be invited to open shifts with personalized invitation rules.
- Tailor your punch tolerances: When creating a shift, it is now possible to specify a punch tolerance different from that coming from the general parameters.
- Minimize errors: Modify a statutory holiday without it directly affecting employees that were previously excluded.

Version 5.6 (July 11th 2022)
- It is now possible to auto-assign shifts based on the invitation rule.
- A new auto-assignment setting allows you to assign all occurrences of a recurring shift to the same employee.
- A new setting in the advanced invitation rules allows you to choose the priority of invitations at the phase level. Invitation priority by group levels remains available as before.
- Employees can now give their preferred number of hours worked per pay period.
- When a holiday is created, the anticipated compensation is immediately displayed.
- A new “open shifts filled” filter has been added to the schedule report.
- The “approval of unscheduled shifts created by the employee” parameter is now split into two approval parameters depending on how these shifts are created. One parameter if they are created in the schedule and another parameter if they are created by the mobile or web punch.
- Companies that only wish to export banked vacation on the Nethris and EmployeurD payroll report can now do so by making a request to the support team.
- We have enriched our public API to include new endpoints including the creation and modification of employees, teams, positions and locations.
- It is now possible to export and import an invited sequence of employees when setting up a standard invitation rule.

Version 5.5 (June 15th 2022)
- A manager can now see the date and time of an employee’s last activity. The date is visible on an employee’s profile and report.
- Employees interested in an open shift and whose invitation mode is set to “everyone” are now displayed in order of the invitation responses.
- The list of employees invited to an open shift or replacement now shows a grouping separator as specified in the custom invitation rule.
- The “use planned break time when an employee does not clock their unpaid break” setting has been split into two settings to provide more flexibility. A parameter is applied if the employee has clocked a break that is too short and another one is applied if the employee has not clocked their break at all.
- A Voilà! administrator can now deactivate the timesheet module if their company doesn’t use it.
- A Voilà administrator can now deactivate the expense module if his company does not use it.
- New icons have been added to illustrate a vacation type.
- When reassigning a shift as a recurring replacement over several days, the reassignment only takes place on the selected day.

Version 5.4 (Mai 30th 2022)
- Several new parameters have been added to leave types to support all of your company’s needs:
- Prevent a leave from being approved when the associated bank balance is insufficient.
- Prevent creating a leave request of this type when the associated bank balance is insufficient.
- Requirement of an entry of a leave value to be deducted

- Include the calculation of overtime
- Include the calculation of statutory holidays
- Hide the bank associated with this type of leave in the employee profile.

- New fields have been added to an employee’s profile including their date of birth, address, primary and secondary emergency contact person.

- Full Spanish language support. Voilà is now available in Spanish for the web console, web punch, and our iOS and Android versions of the app. The configuration of your company, which includes among other things positions, locations and teams, can now be in three languages: French, English and Spanish.
- When the option to show totals is active in the schedule view, these are now included in the timetable printout.
- The “Recurring Shifts Ending Soon” dashboard screen now allows you to extend all shifts in the list with a single click.
- The import of employees by CSV file can now include custom fields. These custom fields can then be visible in the employee’s profile, in employee reports, and be used for payroll file export setups.
- The shift report can now be customized to choose and order the desired columns.
Version 5.1 (March 3rd 2022)
- It is now possible to save schedule templates, resulting in time saved building schedules.You can either save a set of shifts or an individual one as a template. Which can easily be applied to other scheduling periods.
- When creating or modifying shifts, the capacity is now indicated on the location and sub-location selector. This capacity indicates the number of people assigned to shifts that overlap the period of the shift being created or edited.
- A sub-location filter is now available for the hourly, timesheet, and employee views. Sub-locations are now included in various shift reports.
- Custom employee fields are now included in the various shift and employee reports.
- A new replacement report is now available. This report shows the employee being replaced, the replacement and shift information regarding the replacement.
- The detailed shift view now offers the history of shift changes. It shows the modified fields, with the old value and the new value, the person making the modification and the modification date.
- The budgets panel in the detail shift view is now displayed in a dialog.

Version 5.0 (February 11th 2022)
- New smart scheduling feature allows scheduling by one of four methods: rotation, seniority, performance and personalized.
- It is now possible to copy/cut and paste selected shifts. This feature offers great flexibility supporting the majority of your use cases.
- Improved multiple selection mode in schedule view. With a single click, it is possible to select all the shifts of the week or of a day.
- In an employee’s file, it is now possible to see a detailed history of the changes made to the employee’s data.
- Adding a premium pay period to an employee’s timesheet now offers a pre-configured premium selector. Reducing the risk of errors on the earning codes.
- The duration selector in the leave request now offers 3.5h and 7h options. Note- You can always enter specific durations without going through the selector.
- In the time view, right-clicking on a shift allows you to perform the following actions: Select, Edit shift, Reassign, Convert to draft, Convert to open shift, Cancel shift and Delete shift.

Version 4.7 (January 16, 2021)
- Improved shift creation screen that makes it easier to assign recommended employees based on your company settings.
- In the schedule view, it is now possible to select any set of shifts to perform the following actions: cancel shifts, reactivate shifts, turn into a draft, convert into an open shift and destroy shifts.
- Administrators can now add or modify employees on Voilà! from a CSV file. This feature is very useful when initially setting up a company.
- Administrators can now add multiple locations, shifts, positions and leave requests on Voilà! from a CSV file.
- A new version of the Timesheet Summary Report is now available. This report contains overtime information based on your company’s custom overtime rules. It also contains leave requests, expenses and bonuses.
- It is now possible to erase an employee profile.
- The filename of the various reports now contains filtered information for teams, locations and positions.
- It is now possible to specify a team, a location or a position to a bonus time period. This addition is used to match the correct earnings codes when exporting to payroll to EmployerD or Nethris.
- It is now possible to export the payroll report to EmployeurD or Nethris based on a different pay period than the one specified in your company’s settings.

Smart punch launch:
- When “Automatic punching of consecutive shifts” is enabled on the company settings, employees with multiple scheduled shifts can now punch in at the start of the day and punch out at the end of the day. It’s no longer necessary to point the entry and exit of each shift.
- New setting allows companies to control smart adjustment of breaks.
- New company parameter allows you to automatically clock the exit of the shifts in case employees forget.
- New company parameter allows you to indicate if the tolerance is paid between consecutive shifts.
- It’s now possible to define paid breaks on a shift. These breaks can be logged by the employee.
